UNBRIDLED FLIRTY TAKES VIVACIOUS STAKES AT RIVER DOWNS

There's no place like home. Unbridled Flirty is an Ohio-bred that has been racing in West Virginia and Pennsylvania all year. Her return to her home state paid off big on Saturday as she captured the $50,000 Vivacious Handicap at River Downs on Saturday. Her dam, Flirty McGeurty was a multiple stakes winner at River Downs almost 20 years ago.

Rallying from last in the early going, jockey Pablo Tolentino pulled the 6-year-old mare to the outside and stunned favored Mini Mom in the final strides. Ron Dewolf and Martin Bros., Inc.own Unbridled Flirty, who is trained by Bill Martin. The 1 1/16 mile turf race for Ohio-bred fillies and mares was run in 1:43.

Unbridled Flirty returned $17.20, $5.60 and $3.40. Favored Mini Mon paid $3.80 and $2.40, while pacesetter Indian Ink had a show payoff of $3.00.
