River Downs and Pinnacle Entertainment are making a $5,000.00 contribution to the Wounded Warrior Project on Sunday and they hope you will join in the cause. A Silent Auction will be held in the paddock area with classic sports memorabilia and racing related items from across the country. There is a signed Cincinnati Bengals Football and Hat, autographed Ball Cap and photo of Hall of Fame jockey Chris McCarron winning the Breeders Cup Classic aboard Alysheba, a "River Downs Racing Experience" and a gift certificate for a Belterra Casino and Resort Getaway that includes a $100.00 Resort Credit to name just a few of the high quality items available for bidding. The auction will end at the start of the 7th race, approximately 4:30 p.m.
To sweeten the event, River Downs will be serving a newly created Ice Cream drink called the "Freedom Float" and will be selling "Scoops for Soldiers" to cool you down on a July afternoon. All proceeds from the Ice Cream Stand and Auction will go to the Wounded Warrior Project. Learn much more at: www.woundedwarriorproject.org
Individuals in the Military will get a free lunch when they come to the track. They need only to present a current ID at the information booth and they will receive a food and beverage coupon. Admission and parking is free. Live racing starts at 1:30 p.m.
