With the 4th of July taking place on Monday, River Downs will be shifting its live racing schedule forward one day this week. On Wednesday, June 29 the track will be open for simulcasting only. There will then be live racing Thursday through Monday. Post time for live racing is 1:00 p.m. except for Friday when the track features a special 3:00 p.m. starting time for live racing.
After the 4th of July holiday, River Downs will return to its Wednesday-Sunday live racing schedule.  On the 4th of July the track will host "Blues, Brews and Barbecue" with a free live concert by bluesman Sonny Moorman, drink specials and a pig roast presented by Rib City Grill.  Parking and admission are free at River Downs.
