Simulcast Pick of the Day
Delaware Park - Race 2 - Approximate Post Time: 1:45
Our long shot yesterday didn’t work out quite the way we had hoped (OK he finished last) so let’s try a potential favorite today. #5 TAKE ME ALONG looks like the speed of the speed in this race and could go wire to wire today. Take Me Along is making his third start off of a year layoff. He comes in from Pimlico where he was the beaten favorite in his last start over a track that was labeled good. He battled for the lead that day and was beaten 4 ½ lengths. He adds blinkers today, which should only help his speed, and his trainer Hugh McMahon is 31% with horses starting with blinkers for the first time. The shorter 5 furlong distance should also be to his liking today and you got jockey Victor Carrasco who is having a nice 2013 winning 17 times from only 88 starts.
